From being a child Steff has always owned horses and had her
first pony (Midget) when she was 3 years old. Steff first
came to Moorside Equestrian Centre for work experience when she
was 15 years old. Upon leaving school she attended an Equine and
Business studies course at Shipley college, with 2 days per week
working at Moorside Equestrian Centre.
Steff
became a full-time student at Moorside Equestrian Centre, where
she completed her NVQ levels 1, 2 and 3 in horse care and stable
management with riding and her BHS stages 1, 2 and 3.
Steff was seconded for 6 months; to International
event rider, Karen Dixon's yard. Here she gained a wealth of
experience and rode many different horses, from breaking in 3
year olds, to riding advanced eventers. Steff then
returned to Moorside Equestrian Centre as Head girl.
In
2008, the old barn and stables were demolished and a brand new
barn was designed and built, and Steff became the manager of the
new yard.
Steff has
successfully competed in Elementary dressage and Novice eventing.
Over
her 14 years at Moorside Equestrian Centre, Steff has built up a
wealth of knowledge and experience in the Equestrian world.
